  • Q: recovers up to 25%

UTM Parameters

  • source: traffic origin
  • medium: marketing channel
  • campaign: campaign name

The QR & link page combines three utilities: generate QR codes from a URL or text, inspect the structure of any link, and assemble UTM campaign links. QR codes are customizable — size, color, error-correction level — and download as PNG.

The link inspector breaks a long URL into protocol, host, path and query parameters, which makes it easy to see exactly what tracking baggage a link carries.

How to use

  1. QR generator: enter content (URL, text, Wi-Fi info), adjust size, color and error-correction level, then save as PNG.
  2. Link inspector: paste a URL to see its protocol, host, path and each query parameter listed separately.
  3. UTM builder: enter a base URL plus source, medium and campaign values to get a finished campaign link.

Common use cases

Print materials
Create QR codes at print-appropriate resolution for menus, posters and business cards.
Checking suspicious links
Paste a link from an email into the inspector to see the real domain and attached parameters before clicking.
Campaign tracking
Give each channel its own UTM link so analytics tools can attribute traffic correctly.

Good to know

Error correction determines how much damage a QR code can survive: L ≈ 7%, M ≈ 15%, Q ≈ 25%, H ≈ 30%. Higher levels are more robust but denser — M is fine for screens; use Q or H for print that may get scuffed or when overlaying a logo.

These are static QR codes: the content is embedded in the pattern itself. They never expire, have no scan limits, and are free for commercial use — but the content cannot be changed after printing, so double-check the link before saving.

Frequently asked questions

Do generated QR codes expire?

No. They are static — the data lives inside the code, with no dependency on an external service. They only "break" if the page the embedded link points to disappears.

Will a colored QR code still scan?

Yes, as long as there is strong contrast: dark code on a light background. Low-contrast or inverted schemes can fail on some scanners.

What goes in each UTM parameter?

utm_source is where traffic comes from (google, instagram), utm_medium is the channel type (social, email, cpc), utm_campaign is your campaign name (spring_sale). Analytics tools group traffic by this combination.

Can I use the codes commercially?

Yes — use them freely on print, products and ads with no restrictions.
